SHIELDING Fabric over foam based gaskets

Like wire mesh based gaskets fabric over foam materials have proven to be a very cost effective and highly versatile product. The basic shielding is provided by a conductive polyester based fabric material, wrapped over a variety of carriers, each one providing specific characteristics.

SHIELDING Fabshield Profiles  
The most common is the original fabric over foam, very soft polyurethane profiles are wrapped with the conductive fabric, and an adhesive backing is applied to one face. The effect is a lightweight, but high performance EMC seal suitable for indoor environments

SHIELDING Fabshield Fabric  
The Fabric itself is suitable for use as flat gasketing, or wall coverings, where a large area needs to be covered, whilst good grounding and shielding are still required.

SHIELDING Fabshield EP  
This variation offers an environmental seal , not unlike the wire mesh MG, where half of the seal is dedicated to the electromagnetic shield using basic Fabshield, whilst the other half is given over to either a neoprene or silicone sponge that acts as an IP65 seal. This product is mainly used on door or panel seals where a flat surface and a 'knife-blade' like lid are brought together.

SHIELDING Fabshield Fabtrack  
Fabshield Fabtrack offers considerably higher shielding performance than the EP variant above and with identical environmental properties, it employs 2 fabric seams built into the sponge. The application is designed around 2 flat surfaces coming together, such as door or panel seals.

SHIELDING Fabshield Fabex  
Fabex is designed for large cabinet, or enclosure sealing. It is based on the EPDM door seals, but included a fabric seal that half wraps over the form. This provides a heavy duty environmental seal, and a high performance rugged electromagnetic seal in one.
